Where it falls — and how it feels

OPTION 1: THE RIBBON TRICK

Perfect for both rings and bracelets.

You’ll need: a strip of paper or ribbon and a ruler.

1. Wrap the ribbon around your finger or wrist (not too tight).
2. Mark the point where it overlaps.
3. Lay it flat and measure the length in millimeters.
4. If you’re between sizes, go up — especially if you prefer a looser fit or plan to stack.

OPTION 2: MEASURE WHAT ALREADY FITS

If you already own a ring that feels perfect:

Use a ruler to measure the internal diameter (straight across, edge to edge).

GOOD TO KNOW

• Temperature matters: your fingers and wrists may feel slightly larger in warmer settings and smaller in colder ones.
• Time of day counts: our bodies retain more fluid in the morning, especially if you’ve just woken up.
• Your hands aren't identical: the dominant hand tends to be subtly larger.
• Wider bands, snugger fits: if your piece is chunky or bold, consider sizing up for ease.
